Typeface Classification: All caps Sans-Serif with an array of the letter "s"
What is it?: A WWII propaganda poster that told people to be quiet because the Nazi's have ears in the trees. Or so they thought.
Analyze this piece: The reason I liked this poster was that it was America being super nice about telling Americans to shut up. The government got fed up with something and started being sassy. The government's sassiness is also displayed in the font. The word "your" is in yellow to put emphasis on it. Obviously someone has been blabbing and the government is blaming the general public. The "s" in "sucker" is also larger than any other of the letters. This makes the reader draw it out when reading it. This makes it sound like you sibling calling you a "sucker" in that stupid baggy voice that they use when blaming something on you.
How will this influence my work? : The next time somebody (my roommate) will not shut up, I will just make her a nicely designed poster to show her my feelings without hurting hers. I also love the sans serif bold typeface. I will definitely look for this kind of typeface when making something that commands someone to do something specific such as "Give me your money" if I was a robber.
