Blog Post by Jen Stephenson-

Source and Object Description: I found this poster on Pinterest and it's linked to http://www.behance.net/gallery/Hungry-Go-Where-Food-Typography/6271333. It is designed by Andrea Limjoco. It is an add for a food website promoting all different types of foods.
Typeface Description: All of the main type is formed out of actual food. And the small font is in a san serif font.
How does it enhance the message? The typeface makes the viewer easily connect that this is some sort of food promotion. It's not too overwhelming but successfully gets the point across while still being interesting.
How will this influence my work? The design is unique and still clean. Instead of using a given typeface from font book to choose from, she was able to create her own by forming it out of the subject matter. It is a different approach to typographic design and can be useful when there is a need to switch things up a bit.
